If You’re Trying, You’re A Success

You don’t have to have reached your goal to be a “Success.” If you’re trying to improve and are working hard, you ARE, right now, a success!

It’s not the final destination that is important but the road that you are on.  If you are trying and moving closer to where you want to be, you are being successful.

Tune out the voices that tell you the final result is all-important.  Think of a drum corps season: Students work for almost an entire year, including weeks of intense rehearsals under all conditions, working toward the last performance of the year.  Certainly that final run of the show is special, something they will never forget!  But it’s the entire process of building and growing and learning that truly lasts.  I guarantee, it’s the friends and the experiences along the way that will stick with those members.  That’s what they will remember years later.

The journey of hard work and diligence really IS our activity, and if you’re participating, you’re a success!  Keep trying, keep working, keep growing.
