Look to the Helpers
My partner Steve and I attended “Spirit Fest” yesterday in St. Petersburg, a “holistic, metaphysical, and wellness expo.” We are looking for collaborators for our new Phantom History House Bed & Breakfast and we found a room full of “vendors, readers, practitioners, artists, authors, and demonstrations.”
It was a heart-warming and inspiring experience. Held in the St. Pete Coliseum, we found a large room full of kind individuals trying to help. Each table featured a person or business who’s purpose was to help someone’s life and improve their happiness. Everything from mediums to artists to those selling crystals and healthy products filled the space and offered advice.
I enjoyed walking around and interacting with all of these helpers. Sure, they were business people promoting the work they are doing, but all were focused on a spiritual approach to a better life.
It’s easy to get depressed and discouraged if you follow the barrage of negative news and social media posts that bombard us. Shocking, negative stories get the most clicks and interaction, so we see a lot of them. I recommend that you look at this type of information less and focus on the helpers more. Educators and instructors and designers are all helpers, creating shows and experiences that allow young people to grow and shine. Let’s focus there!
At the expo we made connections with a lot of wonderful people that we hope to bring to the Phantom History House and share with our guests and friends and visitors. This positive, life-affirming energy is what we all need more of! Pay attention to the energy you are bringing to the world, and which you are bringing into your life. It can make all the difference.
