Take Time to Laugh
The world can feel a dark and overwhelming place. To take care of ourselves we all need to plan ways to find release and relief. I encourage you to schedule time to laugh into your calendar.
I am guaranteed to laugh and feel better after any episode of Seinfeld or The Golden Girls. More recently, I have added Bob’s Burgers to this list.
Laughter has been proven to improve your health. There are documented cases of people who have laughed themselves back into health, prescribing for themselves a daily dose of laughter in all forms.
I hope you noticed that I suggested that you schedule this into your daily calendar. We are busy people and sometimes do not stop to take time to de-stress and take care of ourselves. Schedule in that exercise and some laughter time.
I also encourage you to surround yourself with people who laugh freely. Beware of those who never laugh or seem to have no sense of humor. Enjoying life and laughing with friends is the sign of a true, healthy personality. Think again if your hero’s only humor involves mocking or bullying others.
Whatever your favorite funny show is, I encourage you to take time to enjoy it regularly. Laughter is healthy and can lighten your mood. We all need more of that right now.
