Ghost Stories
Many people love ghost stories, scary movies, and tales of the paranormal. It can be fun to be scared, and fun to imagine that a spirit is watching us as we tour an old mansion. And everyone loves Halloween! I’ve never been a horror movie kind of guy, but I do have an interest in history and spirituality. Now I’m involved in a project that pulls many of these interests together.
Phantom History is a podcast “devoted to historical locations and the spirits that still reside within.” My boyfriend, Steve Blanchard, loves history and Halloween, and loves sharing stories of paranormal experiences. This podcast combines all of these interests and is great fun.
As Steve describes it: Join us as we pull back the veil of history and hear about paranormal encounters from the people who experienced them firsthand. He has fascinating conversations with historians and paranormal investigators who share their research and experiences in a very personal way. Steve then weaves these stories and interviews together into a narrative style podcast that has many fans.
Even though the stories shared are captivating and can make the hair stand up on your skin, it’s often the full interviews with his guests that really give you a peak into their real-life experiences with the paranormal. Supporters on Patreon get to hear these full conversations, and I can tell you they can be chilling! A St. Augustine Lighthouse guide locked in the tower, or an investigator suddenly being touched or spoken to when no one is there! First person accounts of ghost sightings, creepy visitations in the middle of the night, and sudden drops in temperature are fun to hear about. You’ll be on the edge of your seat!
Steve also visits historic places to do on-site research and investigations. Recent trips to New Orleans and Savannah produced a lot of interesting stories and video footage as Steve tours historic locations known for paranormal activity. And he meets the most fascinating and offbeat people! Patreon Supporters also get to see these special trip videos and interviews.
I love history, and I love spooky stories. I certainly love Halloween! So my involvement in helping with the podcast has been a real joy. I encourage you to check out the podcast, starting at the new website, and sign up for the newsletter so you don’t miss a single episode. And please consider supporting Steve on Patreon so you can get access to the bonus materials and help him to keep sharing these intriguing stories of haunted places and the history behind them.
