Look To The Helpers
Mr. Roger’s famous suggestion to “Look for the helpers” in moments of crisis has been incredibly helpful in my life. It seems there are many things happening in our world which seem distressing, unfair, or downright frightening. But in the midst of each one is someone trying to help, to do the right thing.
Whether a first responder at a shooting, a lawyer at a trial, or a teacher taking extra time with a student, these heroes help me sleep better at night.
As my husband and I have been undertaking our new adventure with our Bed & Breakfast, the Phantom History House, I have been introduced to a new set of helpers that I was fairly unaware of. Our B&B has a paranormal theme, and this has led us to meet and work with a number of psychic mediums. I knew little about this world before embarking on this work, and it’s been fascinating and rewarding to learn and make these connections.
Like the helpers mentioned above, these dedicated people are trying to help. Though sometimes misunderstood in our culture, my experience has shown that every one of these talented people is doing this work to help others. I have often seen a somewhat nervous or distressed person sit down for a session with a medium and leave encouraged and inspired.
Whether someone gets inspiration or new ideas or helpful information, it’s always heartwarming to see the change. Someone has been helped. As we talk with these psychic mediums (and share some interviews on the Phantom History YouTube Channel,) I am learning how dedicated they are to their particular craft, to the way they have found to make a difference and help others. I hope you’ll watch some of those interviews, and perhaps one day come to Phantom History House and experience a reading yourself. (See all scheduled events)
I am appreciative of this work that is helping many, and look forward to learning more and continuing to grow in my understanding. Watch for more blog posts about these wonderful helpers in the weeks to come.
