Modeling Good Behavior
We just got our first negative “one star” review for Phantom History House, our new Bed & Breakfast. It turns out that these online reviews are critically important for businesses, and we are always thankful when one of our guests gives us a 5-star review after their stay. It really does matter.
As you might guess, the person who gave us this hateful review has never been to our B&B, does not know us, and for some reason just decided to try to hurt our business. We have reported this review and thankfully it has been removed.
Researching all of this, we found out that there as been a campaign of hurtful reviews toward individuals or businesses that some people don’t like or don’t understand. I think we can all do better than this.
We all have the huge responsibility of modeling behavior for our students. Your kids are watching you. They see how you treat others, how you talk about “other” types of people, and who you are supporting.
Most of the time, we would all be better off if we would just mind our own business and let people live their lives. And if someone is trying to convince you that some type of person, or some group, is dangerous, take a moment to breathe and think for yourself. We are trying to create great experiences at the Phantom History House, and one negative review will not deter us from working our hardest to bring joy and comfort to everyone who walks through our door.
