A fun and familiar show concept which lends itself to cool and smart visual ideas. This show of original music is a playful mix of mysterious and scary with a contemporary vibe. The opening features the number “13” and a trumpet trio for “Black Cats.” The good luck of horseshoes and four leaf clovers follow with music that is jazzy and light, ending in a big jazzy shout chorus. The moody and expressive ballad explores mirrors, and at the climax the mirror “breaks” and the guard dances with the mirror pieces as the music soars darkly. The finale features ladders and a cool synth bass, building through a drum solo (played partly on the ladders!) to a frantic finale as the band daringly screams and runs under the ladders, charging the audience visually and musically to the end! An effect-filled show from one of our top marching band arrangers.
Fee for the use of the music for the season:
