Resources to help music education students, young directors, or experienced teachers:
LCL Mentors is generously providing free mentoring sessions to music education students who are about to become band directors. These free sessions will help the students to be more prepared for interviews, begin setting up their new position, and begin their first year of teaching with valuable advice to help them be more successful. College professors can nominate one student each year. NOMINATE NOW
Watch as college music education students experience a mock interview with professionals in the field. These practice interviews will be conducted by Dr. Stephen Lytle, John Franklin, and Tyson Wooters of LCL Mentors, a panel that includes an administrator who actually hires directors as part of his job! This is a great opportunity to prepare and learn for this important moment in your career.
The Dynamic Marching Band is a textbook for college marching band methods class students and a resource book for current band directors, now available as an eBook with live links to resources. Author Wayne Markworth also created an online version of a Marching Methods Course which corresponds to the book.
