DCI Judging: Behind The Scenes As They Return To The Field
Even judges have to rehearse! Five top DCI judges take you behind the scenes as they prepare to return to the field. In preparation for the upcoming World Judging Symposium, four DCI judges just spent time at a rehearsal with the Spirit of Atlanta and discuss what judges see from field level, how do they analyze and understand what they see, and how they credit that through each of the sheets. Percussion, Brass and Visual judges talk about the change that occurred in 2019, keeping the judges to the sidelines and how judges handled that change. They will talk about design, both the visual and the musical design, with a strong emphasis on the performers. After two years of not being with corps this part of the Symposium discusses how judges need to work on their delivery, and understanding the criteria on the sheets.
