From Blue Devils to Bob’s Burgers – How Color Guard Evolved Into a Social Media Career

Irving Lopez is better known to the color guard community as “PunkRockIrving” for his marching arts inspired videos on Instagram.  How did Irving create his social media career?  On this webinar, Ashley Tran talks with Irving to find out and give you ideas that you can use also!  Irving has an impressive history as a performer and instructor.  Since the pandemic, Irving has largely focused on his digital marketing career in the entertainment industry working on Hulu Originals social media campaigns.

A Los Angeles native, Irving Lopez marched Blue Devils from 2009 through 2011 and participated in their International corps in 2015. His most recent endeavor was with Fantasia Winterguard. Prior to that he marched with notable groups such as: Diamante, Corona, and Santa Clara Vanguard Winterguard. Irving also appeared as a colorguard performer on FOX’ hit TV show GLEE. He occasionally participates in clinics across the U.S. and has taught many High School & Independent groups in Southern California including Chino High School, Pacific Crest and Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps.
