THIS SHOW REQUIRES COPYRIGHT PERMISSION TO PERFORM

Difficulty Level: Medium, Grade 4/5

Style: Contemporary Arrangements

Original Arrangements by Tim Hinton

Percussion Arrangements by Michael Skellett

(Commissioned by the Rock Hill HS Band, Rock Hill, SC, Joe Gulledge, Director)

D1: Dvorak New World Symphony

D2: Debussy – “The Girl with the Flaxen Hair”

D3: Daugherty – “Lex and Lois”

Our original production of this show riffed on the “3D” title in three different ways!  All the composers’ names started with D, we themed each movement to a word starting with D (Determination, Desire, and Daring,) and we used 3D glasses in the finale!  IMPORTANT: Only the Daugherty requires copyright permission, so we could substitute another “D” selection to make this original marching band show copyright-free!

NOTE: The closer in this show requires Copyright Permission to perform. The band program is responsible for securing the rights and paying all fees associated with them.

Fee for the use of the music for the season:

I was super proud to have come up with the idea for these guard uniforms! Notice that the color on the arm makes a “D” when the arm is bent this way! This was fun for “free arms” during the show, and this uniform design should be available to use. Contact me for more info! Rock Hill 3D Retreat
