Italy, 1609 / Mathematics / Measurements / Observing the Heavens

This show of original music celebrates the life and accomplishments of one of the world’s greatest thinker and innovators.  Counting motifs in the music bring Math to life, and complex experiments in measurements are portrayed with machine-like sounds which grow to a jazzy conclusion.  In the closer we explore the heavens as we blend melodies from “2001” and “Mars” in surprising ways. This original marching band show is rich with visual possibilities and will engage your students and audience.
