Difficulty Level: Medium-Advanced, Grade 4-5

Style: Contemporary Arrangements of Classical Music

Arranged by Tim Hinton

Percussion Music by Brian Gill

Originally commissioned by the Lone Star H.S. Band, Frisco, TX – Tim Golden, Director.

Spectacular and Sophisticated!  Music by the masters presented in unexpected ways.  Rachmaninoff and Bach combine and interweave in the opening production, using Bach Invention No. 4 in D Minor and Rachmaninoff Prelude in C-Sharp Minor.  The ballad is the gorgeous “Emmanuel” by Colombier, and closing production is music from “Rite of Spring” by Stravinsky.  This original marching band show is challenging, tuneful, dramatic, and cutting edge!

NOTE: “Emmanuel” by Colombier requires Copyright Permission to perform.  If you want to perform this selection, contact me (at the bottom of this page) and I will explain to you how to proceed with requesting the permission to perform that music.  There is no guarantee that the rights will be granted again, though the chances are good.  The band program is responsible for securing the rights and paying all fees associated with them.  The rest of this show does not require copyright permission and I have  many other wonderful ballads you can use instead of “Emmanuel” if you want to avoid these issues.

Fee for the use of the music for the season:
